The predecessor of Qingdao Hitech Automation Instrument Limited Company was the key and designated enterprise of the national machinery and electronics industry---state-operated counter factory of Qingdao and state-operated instrument plant of Qingdao, with the former having a long history for manufacturing the counters, timers and encoders for over four decades and the letter possessing a longer history of fabricating the automotive testing instruments, industrial and household appliance controllers for more than sixty years.
  The first instrument plant of Qingdao was founded in the 1940s, and the Qingdao counter factory was established on July 1, 1966.
  From the end of 1969 to the beginning of 1970, the factory started to manufacture Liberation/Jiefang car odometer and Huanghe/car odometer.
  In 1973, Qingdao Counter factory moved to 50 Taidong Eight Road.
  In the middle of 1970s, Qingdao Counter Factory carried out university-industry collaboration with Harbin Institute of Technology.
  In 1978, in accordance with the project of the first machinery industry, Qingdao Counter factory began to develop DD28 counters.   
  By 1981, gross industrial output value of the factory reached 4million Yuan.
  In 1988, the factory imported parts and components of 404, 422、825、876、250 counters as well as the technology, molds, production equipment, and detecting instruments of 404 and 422 counters.
  In 1992, in cooperation with Shenyang Institute of Instrumentation Technology, the factory created the national standards of mechanical counters JB/T6181-1992.
  By 1992, the gross industrial output value of Qingdao counter factory achieved 10 million Yuan and it also won “Outstanding Research Project” in the seventh tenth 5-year plan of the Ministry of Industry machine.
  From 1993 to 1994, Qingdao Counter factory carried out joint venture with Germany Hengstler Company. They produced 891 counters as well as 710、711、721、722 high-end electronic counters.
  In 1993, Qingdao Counter factory set up a joint venture with Germany Hengstler Company, Qingdao Hengstler Automation Instrument Limited Company (former Register Name).
  In 1993, in cooperation with Shenyang Institute of Instrumentation Technology, the factory created the national standards of mechanical counters GBT14482-1993.
  By 1995, the gross industrial output value of Qingdao counter factory reached 17million Yuan.
  In 1997, Qingdao counters factory developed a joint-venture partnership with the multinational corporation Invensys Groupand, one of the world's Fortune 500 and took the lead in accomplishing the modern enterprises reformation in Qingdao.
 In 1998, Qingdao counters factory merged with Qingdao instrument factory, and founded Qingdao first instrument joint-stock cooperative company which was renamed as Qingdao Hitech electrical equipment joint-stock cooperative company.
 In 2001, Hitech electrical equipment carried out the second enterprise reformation and founded Qingdao Hitech Automation Instrument Limited Company.
 At the end of 2006, the company moved to No. 190 Zhuzhou Road from No. 11 Siliu South Road.
 In 2008, our company entered a novel area--- Flow meter industry.
